Animal Care™  (previously "Animal Rescue")

This formula was created from research done over the past three years by Andrea Freixeda, a flower essence practitioner and biologist living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Andrea works out of her own clinic, called Biofauna, and also offers her animal rescue services to various ecological parks and animal sanctuaries in the greater Sao Paulo area. The current political and socioeconomic situation in Brazil makes it difficult for animal clinics like Biofauna to maintain adequate funding. In recognition of this, AFEP is donating a percentage of profits from the sale of this formula to support Biofauna and similar animal sanctuaries in Brazil.

Animal Care is primarily intended for use in animal rescue work, although it can be given to any animal in need. It will be most valuable when it is integrated into the initial care protocol provided for any animal who arrives at an animal shelter, treatment center, veterinarian clinic, or sanctuary.

Use Animal Care for wild animals that:

• Are brought to a clinic because their habitats have been damaged or destroyed
• Have lived for some time in pet shops, and subsequently in the homes of people, in isolation from other members of their own species.
• Are agitated, irritated, and exhibiting aggressive behavior, which may be endangering themselves, other animals, or humans.
• Must be kept in captivity in a shelter, sanctuary, or zoo, because their injuries cannot be fully healed, and need to be handled in order to receive treatment.
• Are suffering from "toxic" interference from their contact with the public and need to release this energy so they can be released back into the wild.

Use Animal Care for domestic animals that:

• Have been voluntarily given up to an animal care shelter because their owners can no longer care for them.
• Have lived in conditions where the care given them was inadequate, the living environment toxic, and the relationship with their humans abusive.
• Have been abandoned and then rescued off of the street after a prolonged struggle for survival that included inadequate food and shelter.
• Are exhibiting self-aggressive behavior.
• Live in large cities, are restricted from normal contact with nature, and are alone for much of the day.

The Alaskan Essences can be easily integrated into any program of animal care. Dosage bottles can be prepared according to the directions given above, with special consideration given to the following points.

Animals are generally more responsive to essences than humans, therefore, the dosage cycle for an animal will usually be for a shorter duration. For this reason we recommend that glycerine be used as a preservative instead of brandy. With chronic situations, drops from the dosage bottle may be added to the watering dish every time it is filled. For acute situations, or when the animal is unable to eat or drink regularly, give drops directly to the animal as often as necessary.

For animals who are unable to take their essences orally, and for those who are suffering from external injuries, add essences to a spritzer bottle and spray them around or directly on the animal, or if possible, rub them directly into the coat or onto the skin.

Pregnancy Support™

This formula was inspired by the work and research of Cynthia Abu-Asseff, a flower essence therapist and mother living in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Cynthia started using the Alaskan essences with mothers and babies at a center called Projeto Renascer in January of 1999. This center was started in 1991 by a service oriented spiritual group led by Cynthia's parents. In the years since its formation, it has helped more than 1,000 pregnant women.

Here is how Cynthia describes her process of coming up with the formula from which our Pregnancy Support combination was developed. "Since the beginning of my work at Projeto Renascer, I was looking forward to the day when I would be able to prepare a special combination formula for the pregnant women. I wrote these affirmations to help me find the most precise essences for them:

                  1.   I celebrate my body changing, getting bigger and opening to
                        bring to Earth a new soul.
                  2.   While I feed with love the baby in my womb, I am also
                        nourishing, strengthening, and taking loving care of my own
                        inner child.
                  3.   My baby and I have all the necessary protection and support to
                        experience pregnancy and the moment of giving birth.
                  4.   I forgive and release all grief, anger, and resentment for all the
                        abuse, violence, or any other pain that I have suffered, and
                        open a new space of love, joy, creativity and light, in order to
                        allow this new life to develop within me.
                  5.   I am love and so I am able to generate and give birth to a
                        healthy baby."

The Pregnancy Support formula can be used to:

• Help a woman create and nurture a new sacred space in her life and body for the growth and development of her baby.
• Enable both the mother and the indwelling soul to clear any ambivalence they have about being present on the Earth.
• Help mothers strengthen their connection with the Earth so they can provide nurturing energy for themselves and their families.
• Help mothers who themselves suffered from a traumatic birth to heal this trauma so they can offer a stronger body/soul connection to their babies.
• Support the developing energetic triad between the mother, father, and baby.

Pregnancy Support can be used from the beginning of the pregnancy to the birth of the child. Apply topically by adding it to moisturizing creams or lotions that are used during the pregnancy, or take internally.

Lighten Up is a combination formula designed to increase your ability to embody light. Its overall effect is to uplift, energize, inspire and nourish. Lighten Up was designed specifically for people who suffer from light deprivation, either because of where they live (extreme northern or southern latitudes), the limitations of their living environment (in a dark house or apartment) or because of the quality of their energy system (energy pathways blocked or undeveloped). This formula is also helpful for those who are depressed, caught in negative patterns or situations, or feel cut off in any way from their inner sources of light.

The ingredients in Lighten Up work on three main levels. The first is to open and cleanse the chakras so you can draw more life force energy through appropriate channels already present in your energy system. The second is to cleanse and expand the energy pathways in your physical body. This includes amplifying your ability to assimilate light at the cellular level. The third is to strengthen your ability to integrate experience, thereby increasing the amount of energy that can flow through your body and life.

Soul Support (formerly Emergency Care) brings strength and stability during emergencies, stress, trauma and transformation, while providing support to rejuvenate and restore balance on all levels. Following is a list of situations where this formula has proven helpful:

Instructions for Use—During times of acute stress take four drops directly from the bottle under the tongue, or put 4-6 drops in a glass of water or juice and sip frequently. If the person needing Soul Support cannot drink, several drops of the stock concentrate can be rubbed on their lips, temples, or on the pulse points of the body. Dosage bottles can be made up ahead of time by adding four drops of stock to an one-ounce dropper bottle, filled with 75% water and 25% percent brandy or vegetable glycerine.

Soul Support can be used by the whole family. For children, dilute the stock drops in water if giving orally. Animals may take the stock directly, or it can be sprayed on or around their bodies.

The Travel Ease combination is specifically designed to ease the negative effects of air travel, including what is commonly referred to as jet lag.

For those of us who are environmentally sensitive and have difficulty being confined in small, constricted spaces for long periods of time, Travel Ease supports the establishment and maintenance of functional energy boundaries, enabling us to feel as though we have all the personal space we need, even on a crowded flight.

Travel Ease helps us maintain the overall integrity of our energy fields, which are challenged by electromagnetic radiation generated by the planes avionics and wiring, and by the noise and vibration generated by the plane during flight. Travel Ease also promotes the ongoing release of any toxic or unwanted energies that we absorb during our trip.  This accumulation of "airborne" pollutants in the auric field during a long flight is one of the main factors contributing to jet lag.
