Our hand-crafted herbal flower oils are excellent
for skin care, and are ideal conduits for flower essences and essential
oils. The oils are prepared with care in small batches to ensure quality.
Flowers are hand-picked from pristine wild habitats, or in our own bio-dynamic
gardens. They are sun-extracted in an organic olive oil base, and further
potentized with the corresponding flower essence, with the added aroma
of some of our Terra Flora essential oils.
The Seasons of the Soul Gift box contains
these six oils: Arnica Alleve, Benediction,
Calendula Caress, Dandelion Dynamo, Mugwort Moon Magic and Saint John's
Shield. The oils are also available individually.
Arnica Alleve
Arnica helps the soul to re-establish balance
and equilibrium from physical or psychic trauma. Arnica Alleve can be
used preventatively to aid the body and the soul in maintaining equanimity,
as well as when there is specific pain and injury. A good addition to
a first aid or travel kit. Also great in baths and massage oils.
Calendula Caress
Calendula oil is a traditional remedy in herbal
and homeopathic practices. It is used as an infant balm, as a face oil,
for all delicate and fine skin, for burns and inflammations, and for
sensitive massage. Calendula, also called "Mary's Gold" for its relationship
to the Mother, soothes the skin with a maternal mantle of nurturance
and warmth. Our golden colored Calendula flower oil is prepared in an
olive oil base, with Orange,
Bergamot, and Sandalwood
essential oils, pure Calendula extract,
and Calendula flower essence.
Dandelion Dynamo
This unique formulation is highly praised
by massage therapists and other body-work practitioners throughout the
world. The Dandelion massage oil promotes deep relaxation and release
of emotional tension and rigidity, especial when held in the musculature
of the body. Prepared in a base of olive oil, the Dandelion flower oil
is blended with Rosemary
essential oil and Castor oil for extra warmth and penetration, and Dandelion
flower essence. Dandelion oil is also highly effective applied in a
warm bath, helping to relax and re-balance an overly tense or physically
exhausted body.
Mugwort Moon Magic
The Mugwort is regarded as a sister remedy
to the Saint John's Wort. The solar properties of the St. John's Wort
help to solidify and seal, while the lunar qualities of Mugwort help
to open and sensitize. The oil of the Mugwort plant is traditionally
applied to sore muscles, or to bruises that tend to be blue in color.
It is known as an excellent women's remedy, both for menstruation and
during birthing, as it tends to disperse obstructions and increase all
bodily flows. Our Mugwort oil is prepared in a base of olive oil, with
added Mugwort and Lavender
essential oils and Mugwort flower
essence.
Saint John's Shield
Saint John's Wort is a plant long-esteemed
in herbal tradition for protection at times of too much vulnerability
and openness, and is known historically as an outstanding wound remedy
and nervine. Saint John's Wort oil has many remarkable photo-sensitive
qualities, and makes an excellent sun screen, particularly on a preventative
basis. We gather the flowering tops of this plant from wild mountain
habitats around the traditional St. John's Tide, following the Summer
Solstice. The bright yellow flowers are sun-infused in olive oil until
they change to a deep, ruby-red color. This precious oil is potentized
with St. John's Wort flower
essence and Angelica
essential oil.
Benediction
Oil
Benediction Oil exudes a gentle quality with
a slightly sweet, yet very grounding fragrance. It is used as a festival
oil and for extraordinary moments in the healing journey. This oil can
be used in massage, or a few drops at a time can be applied to the heart
or chest area, the temples and crown, the throat, solar plexus, or other
energy centers throughout the body.
The base for Benediction is the deep ruby
red Saint John's Wort oil, used since ancient times to protect during
spiritual opening. Several essential oils are added, including Angelica,
providing strength, clarity, and guardianship when the soul traverses
thresholds of consciousness. It also includes the precious attar of
Rose, an exalted balm for
the heart, helping to open the heart to its spiritual capacity to give
and receive love, and Jasmine
oil, with its softening and relaxing effect, which enables one to become
truly receptive to the spiritual world.
Three flower essences are potentized into
this extraordinary formula: Angel's
Trumpet encourages the soul to experience and interpret guidance
from the spiritual world, while Holly
cleanses the heart by bringing fuller emotional awareness and acceptance.
Self-Heal essence imparts a note
of integration and grounding, bringing the gifts of the Spirit as a
healing impulse in daily life. Benediction oil is a highly soothing
and restorative balm which can be used in a wide variety of ways to
counteract shock or trauma, or help elevate the consciousness.
